Bayern Munich’s Financial Performance has reached new heights, showcasing a remarkable record turnover alongside zero debt, solidifying its position as one of the leading clubs in European football.
In the previous financial year, FC Bayern München AG celebrated its second-best annual results in history, achieving a staggering turnover of €951.5 million. The club also reported a significant increase in earnings before taxes (EBT), which surged by 15 percent to €62.7 million. Furthermore, net profit for the year experienced a noteworthy rise of 21 percent, reaching €43.1 million. When incorporating FC Bayern Basketball GmbH and FC Bayern München eV, the total turnover for the 2023/24 financial year exceeded the billion mark, totaling €1.017 billion.
According to Jan-Christian Dreesen, CEO of FC Bayern München AG, “FC Bayern has always been synonymous with economic stability combined with unparalleled success, both on and off the field. This incredible annual result confirms our status as one of the elite clubs in Europe in terms of finances. However, it is vital to acknowledge our disappointment over a trophy-less season in sporting terms. This realization underscores the urgency with which we must pursue future success at FC Bayern. I would like to express my gratitude to my fellow board members, Michael Diederich and Max Eberl, as well as the entire supervisory board led by Herbert Hainer, for their collaborative efforts.”
In the words of Michael Diederich, deputy CEO of FC Bayern München AG, “With another record turnover of €952 million and an outstanding annual result, FC Bayern reflects on a highly successful financial year. Our debt-free balance sheet allowed us to increase dividends by 33 percent, primarily attributed to the highest transfer income in our history and a surge in merchandising demand. With robust equity capital, we maintain exceptional financial strength and independence. FC Bayern remains a unique phenomenon in elite European football, positioning us favorably to tackle future challenges. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all my colleagues for their relentless dedication, which made this achievement possible.”

Herbert Hainer Discusses Team Performance and Aspirations
Club president Herbert Hainer provided insights into the football team’s current standing and future aspirations.
“Our team remains unbeaten at the top of the table, holding a six-point lead over the second-place team. We are on track in the Champions League, captivating our fans with exciting football. Although our exit from the DFB Pokal has become a recurring disappointment, the match against Leverkusen was an early final, and we fought valiantly even with a player down. We are all aware that the Champions League final will be hosted in Munich at the end of the season, and we are committed to ensuring our place there. However, we must first focus on our immediate responsibilities,” Hainer stated, as noted by @iMiaSanMia. “Uli Hoeneß has already pledged the league title… Dear Vincent Kompany, you surely understand: At FC Bayern, promises matter… No pressure — but when the honorary president makes a promise… it is expected to be fulfilled.”
Vincent Kompany Shares His Thoughts via Video Message
Due to a tight schedule with a Champions League match on Tuesday, Kompany was unable to attend the annual general meeting in person. Instead, he conveyed his message through a video.
“Regrettably, I could not attend as we are preparing for our Tuesday match against Shakhtar. I have heard much about the significance of the annual general meeting and understand that you, the members, are the foundation of this remarkable club. Thank you for your immense support. We will strive to finish the year successfully and bring you joy in 2025,” Kompany remarked, as captured by @iMiaSanMia.
