Key Injury Insights and Updates
- On Friday, the Chiefs confirmed that running back Isiah Pacheco (ankle) and defensive end Charles Omenihu (knee) will remain out for their upcoming game on Sunday. Both players were limited throughout the practice week and are currently listed on the team’s reserve lists.
- Head coach Andy Reid provided an update regarding the players’ potential return for next week’s Black Friday game against the Las Vegas Raiders: “We’ll see, but they’re doing great. Yes, they’re doing great. [They’re] working hard, and we’ll just take it day-by-day as we proceed with this process.”
- Kansas City also listed four other players on their report today, including running back Kareem Hunt (knee), wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring), safety Bryan Cook (rib), and defensive back Chamarri Conner (thumb). However, all of them are cleared to participate in the game.
- Both Hunt and Smith-Schuster continue to undergo treatment for lingering injuries, while the injuries suffered by Cook and Conner stem from the previous game against the Bills.
- The Panthers have a considerably longer injury report than the Chiefs, but they have only ruled one player out for the game: running back Miles Sanders. The Panthers opened the practice window for linebacker Amare Barno (knee) on Wednesday, but he is doubtful for participation.
- Left guard Damien Lewis (illness) and outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (knee) both had limited practices today. Lewis is expected to play, while Clowney is considered doubtful.
- Wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) and rookie running back Jonathon Brooks (knee) are both doubtful. Thielen’s potential return would mark his first game in seven days, while Brooks’ participation could signify his NFL debut. Indications suggest that both players are on track to play against the Chiefs.
- Additionally, the Panthers added kicker Eddy Pineiro (left knee) and outside linebacker DJ Wonnum (quad) to their injury list on Thursday. Both are also considered doubtful. Pineiro did not practice on Friday, but head coach Dave Canales stated he is expected to play.
