Roma legend Francesco Totti has revealed that he could return to the club in some capacity well before 2024.
The former Giallorossi star has been linked with a move to the club where he played throughout his career, with Jose Mourinho said to be keen on making sure that Totti returns to the club in some capacity in some point.
This isn’t the first time that Totti has been linked with a role with the Giallorossi as quite the same took place last season, but a move never materialised.
Whether there is more truth to the rumours this time or not remains to be seen, but Totti was asked about these rumours when he was at the Italian Padel Awards (via La Repubblica).
“Does Mourinho want me? I think so, or you wrote something that is not true. He said one thing, let’s wait and see what happens. Would you like to return in 2024? Maybe I’ll already be there.”
There was talk of a detereorating relationship between Mourinho and sporting director Tiago Pinto and that was the case even last season. Recently, Tiago Pinto played down the talk of that rift between the two.
