What is happening with Jesse Lingard? The former Man United and England midfielder spent the last season at Nottingham Forest (unremarkably) and then completely disappeared. Not even a peep from Saudi Arabia about him for all his willingness to play there.
Is he injured, retired, or on a desert retreat? None of this. It turns out that the 30-year-old still could reunite with his former teammates at West Ham United at some point. Right now, he is training with the Hammers at their training ground.

“Jesse has trained with us for three weeks and he’s improved greatly from when he first came in,” West Ham boss, David Moyes told TalkSPORT. “He’s in really good condition – much better condition than he was when he first came in.
“I want to give him every opportunity to get himself back in condition and see how he does. So there’s no real update on it at the moment, just to say that he’s back and getting much closer to the levels of fitness where you’d hope he would be.”
So, it’s still unclear whether the Hammers will offer Lingard a deal but at least they are doing everything to help him avoid retirement at just 30 years old.
