Over the last few years, one notable name that has surfaced in trade rumors in the NBA, more often than not, is sharpshooter Buddy Hield of the Indiana Pacers.

Even though the Pacers appear to be a team on the rise, with Tyrese Haliburton becoming the new face of the franchise, Hield has been a player that has never seemed to fit since coming over in the trade with the Sacramento Kings.

Hield has been mentioned in trade rumors constantly, along with Pacers teammate Myles Turner, but despite the constant rumors, no deal has come to fruition.

However, that may no longer be the case, with the Pacers and Hield not seeing eye-to-eye on a contract extension, which likely leads to a trade, with three potential title contenders interested in his services, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic via NBACentral.

With Hield being one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA, he should have tremendous value on the trade market, but there’s no telling what teams are willing to give up for him, especially with a contract extension likely needing to be on the horizon for the 30-year-old.

Hield is coming off one of the best seasons of his NBA career, with the veteran averaging 16.8 points per game, shooting 45.8% from the floor and 42.5% from beyond the arc.

The Dallas Mavericks would be an intriguing destination for Hield as he’d be the third star on a team that desperately needs some help around superstars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

The Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks would also be good fits, with both teams wanting to bolster their rosters with an elite shooter to improve their chances of competing for a title during the upcoming season.
