A couple of years ago, NBA circles pretty much stopped giving LaVar Ball a platform.

He was disrespectful to many people around him, and even though he was great for ratings because of his blazing-hot takes and borderline hilarious comments about himself and his sons, he was just too much of a handful.

But the Ball patriarch never got away; he stayed in the shadows, lurking around, and never giving up on his business mogul dreams.

Now, a family reunion could be in the works, as he got Lonzo and LaMelo Ball to promote his new BigBallerBrand sneakers, which was a bit of a shocker, all things considered (via Legion Hoops).

The family-owned brand had endured countless controversies, from overpriced shoes to quality control issues, and even a lawsuit.

The Los Angeles Lakers front office even blamed the sneakers for Lonzo’s never-ending ankle and injury issues, and it’s actually not far-fetched to think.

It’s highly unlikely that Lonzo or LaMelo will even consider wearing those sneakers on an NBA court again.

They already have major endorsement deals with proven brands, plus all the aforementioned concerns about their safety and health.

The brothers had already ditched the brand in the past, but LaVar is the kind of hard-nosed businessman who doesn’t give up or cave in adversity.

For now, the most important thing is that Lonzo is able to play one day again, and LaMelo stays off the injury report, and that’s not very likely to happen in BBBs.
