Manchester City striker Julian Álvarez may be seeking to leave Pep Guardiola’s team this summer season, particularly with current reports connecting him to Paris Saint-Germain. But if PSG desires the Argentine, they’ll have some difficult competitors.

In the 2023-24 season, the 24-year-old played in 54 matches for Manchester City, netting 19 objectives and helping on 13 others. His excellent numbers reveal he’s excited for a more constant area in the beginning lineup.

PSG might be a possible landing area for the two-time Copa America winner, however TEAMTalk reports that Arsenal and Chelsea are likewise preparing to pursue the Manchester City forward this summer season. Álvarez is most likely to come with a price of around £77 million as he tries to find a club where he can handle a more substantial function.

“Álvarez wants to be involved in the biggest games,” one Sky Sports expert stated on “The Transfer Show.” “He wants to be playing in the biggest games. I think when you look at what happened last season, he started every Premier League game up until February. But in the back end of the season, when City were chasing titles and trophies, he wasn’t involved in the crucial matches…

“So there is uncertainty around somebody who, I think, despite missing out on those big games, is still a key player for Manchester City. So it’s interesting. A very young player. We’ve seen what he’s done for Manchester City, a very decorated player as well, but it would be a mistake for him to leave Manchester City because they are really onto a good thing.”

A couple of days back, reporter Ben Jacobs supplied an upgrade on the Álvarez scenario, recommending that PSG may still be interested in signing the Argentine. However, Manchester City is reluctant to let him go and would require a deal of over £70 million to even think of it.

It will be fascinating to see if the Premier League side doe choose to offer and whether they’re open to offering to a direct competitor or if PSG can swoop in to protect the Argentine.
