Marcus Morris Leaning Toward Signing With Timberwolves: Report

The Philadelphia 76ers traded Marcus Morris to the San Antonio Spurs as part of the three-team offer that sent out Buddy Hield from the Indiana Pacers to the Sixers and Doug McDermott from the Spurs to the Pacers. San Antonio is anticipated to waive Morris given that the franchise remains in reconstruct mode.

Patrick Beverley, who was traded by the Sixers to the Milwaukee Bucks, tweeted from his podcast account that Morris is favoring signing with the Minnesota Timberwolves, who have the very best record in the Western Conference at 36-15.

Morris is balancing 6.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.7 helps this season while shooting 43.9% from the field, 40.0% from beyond the arc and 86.1% from the free-throw line. He appeared in 37 video games with the Sixers before getting traded.

A Philadelphia native, Morris has profession averages of 12.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 helps with the Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers and Sixers. He’s represented by Chafie Fields of Wasserman.

The Timberwolves are 22nd in the NBA in points per video game and initially in points per video game permitted. They appear like a genuine title competitor with Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley blazing a trail.

Minnesota made one relocation at the trade due date, sending out Troy Brown Jr. and Shake Milton to the Pistons for Monte Morris.
