Rachel Armstrong expects the retirement of her very first preferred wrestler.
Like numerous young battling fans in the 2010s, Rachel Armstrong discovered herself deeply mesmerized by the work of 16-time world champ John Cena. Fast forward to 2024, Cena, now 47 years of ages, will quickly start his main retirement trip, with the last stop set up for December 2025. While consulting with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, Armstrong remembered her preliminary response to this current advancement.
“It’s crazy because when I first discovered wrestling, he was the first person that I ever saw on TV. He went from the first person I ever saw, my first favorite wrestler and all that to now retiring, so that’s pretty crazy. He’s definitely had a run for the ages. It’s super cool to look at people like that and just see the longevity of your career and how many different things you can do, all the different stuff you can see, everything. It’s cool to look at someone’s career and then look forward to that for yourself.”
Looking ahead to Cena’s 2025 retirement trip, Armstong likewise determined 4 challengers she’d like to see Cena tangle up with one last time, among whom has actually formerly mentioned Cena as their “childhood hero.”
“I was going to say a Randy Orton, for sure,” Armstong stated. “I’d love to see him run it back with the Seth Rollins. Also, The Miz, I would love to see that again too … And how could we forget R-Truth? That’s literally his idol.”
