The clock is ticking for the Portland Trail Blazers when it comes to dealing with the Damian Lillard situation, as it seems the team is no closer to trading the superstar guard with only a few weeks left before the start of the NBA preseason.
However, it does seem like there might be more of a sense of urgency in Portland over the past week or so, with reports coming out about what the team may do with Lillard moving forward.
The team does seem to want to get this situation resolved before the start of training camp for obvious reasons, but there’s still no telling which team they may make a deal with, as all signs have pointed to the Miami Heat this entire time.
The Chicago Bulls did surface as a potential suitor this week, with the team potentially ready to give up Zach LaVine, but it seems as though Portland isn’t interested in the 28-year-old, according to NBA reporter Kelly Iko of The Athletic via NBACentral.

At this point in time, the only thing that seems for sure in this Lillard saga is that the Blazers don’t seem to be interested in any star player being offered to them in return for their longtime face of the franchise.
Either the Blazers brass is too picky or doesn’t know what they should get in return for one of the best scorers in the NBA today.
Unfortunately for Portland, time keeps on ticking, and a decision needs to be made sooner rather than later.
