Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson has played on grass and on turf throughout his NFL career.
Based on his experience, he feels that playing on natural grass rather than artificial surfaces is better for player safety.

In the video shared by NFL Network’s James Palmer, Wilson said:
“I definitely think practicing on grass and playing on grass is definitely easier on your body.”
The grass versus turf debate has heated up again following Aaron Rodgers’ season-ending Achilles injury.
The quarterback’s fate led Green Bay Packers offensive tackle David Bakhtiari to call out the league.
Rodgers’ former teammate pleaded for the NFL to mandate natural grass, which offers a softer surface than turf.
Luckily for Wilson, Empower Field at Mile High uses natural grass after using artificial turf for many years.
They switched to natural grass after using artificial turf from 2001-2015.
Meanwhile, CBS Sports’ Isabel Gonzalez reported that the new Broncos ownership group invested $400,000 on fresh grass for their season finale last year.
However, the Broncos’ woes are a more impending issue.
Counting Week 1 of the 2023 season, they’ve lost eight of their last ten games.
It’s time for Wilson to step up and regain his old form and show that he deserved that massive contract.
