Position Overview:
In this dynamic role, the Baseball Operations Associate Analyst will deliver essential analytics and technological support to both remote and on-site staff. This position is crucial in driving forward key organizational initiatives within the franchise. The ideal candidate will showcase a blend of technical acumen and effective communication skills, enabling them to relay complex information clearly to non-technical audiences. A deep-rooted passion for baseball and a strong intellectual curiosity about the sport are essential for thriving in this role.

Key Responsibilities in the Role:

• Conduct thorough statistical analysis and quantitative research to bolster the Player Development staff’s efforts.
• Facilitate Minor League pre- and post-game reporting requirements to ensure accurate performance tracking.
• Perform in-depth research for ad-hoc inquiries from coaches and staff, providing actionable insights.
• Leverage technology and available information to evaluate player strengths and identify areas for growth and development.
• Maintain high standards of data upload and ingestion quality for Minor League affiliate ball-tracking files.
• Assist in data collection processes, which include operating various technologies like Trackman Portable, Blast, Rapsodo, and Trackman.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong grasp of current baseball analytics topics and trends is crucial.
• Exceptional communication skills paired with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in software tools such as Excel, SQL, R, or Python.
• Willingness to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Fluency in Spanish is considered a valuable asset.
