To participate in this exciting contest, everyone with a Field Gulls account who resides or has a shipping address in the United States is eligible to enter. If you are reading this and based in the U.S., but do not yet have an SB Nation/Field Gulls account, don’t worry! Signing up is quick, easy, and absolutely free, taking just a few minutes to complete.

Steps to Participate in the Contest

To join in on the fun, simply enter your email address (which remains confidential and only visible to me for winner notification), your SB Nation username, and select the hat you desire. Then, answer the following prediction question regarding the upcoming Seahawks vs. Broncos game:

How many points will the Seahawks allow against the Broncos?

Given the Seahawks’ struggles last year, this question offers a unique challenge. However, it’s important to note that this question is likely to generate similar responses, necessitating tiebreakers. I have devised a tiebreaker strategy focused solely on defensive performance!

Tiebreaker Questions to Refine Your Predictions

• How many offensive yards will the Seahawks allow?
• How many turnovers will the Seahawks force?
• How many false starts will the Seahawks force?

While I believe we may not need to utilize all three tiebreakers, remember that each response must adhere to a critical guideline: only specific numbers are acceptable, no ranges. For instance, you cannot write “between 350-400 yards” or “17-20 points.” Any entry that includes a range of numbers will unfortunately be disqualified.

Note: You may go over the actual total since this isn’t The Price is Right. However, if, for example, the Seahawks allow 17 points and one contestant predicts 14 while another predicts 20, the tiebreaker will go to the lower prediction.

Determining the Contest Winner

The winner will be the individual whose prediction matches or comes closest to the actual outcome. This makes for an exciting competition, where every entry counts!

Important Deadline for Contest Submissions

All submissions must be received by Sunday, September 8, at 1 PM PT, just prior to the kickoff of the Broncos game. You can enter the contest now, but please note that you are only allowed one entry. If you accidentally submit twice, only the first submission will be counted.
