SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League introduced immediately that Henderson Silver Knights ahead Sheldon Rempal has been chosen because the Howies Hockey Tape/AHL Player of the Week for the interval ending October 15, 2023.
Rempal recorded three targets and two assists to assist the Silver Knights open the 2023-24 season with a pair of wins at Iowa.
In Friday’s season opener, Rempal scored a power-play purpose within the first interval and assisted on one other one within the second as Henderson defeated the Wild, 4-2. Then on Saturday, Rempal scored twice extra and dished out one other help within the Silver Knights’ 7-3 victory, incomes first-star honors for the second evening in a row.
Rempal enters his sixth skilled season in 2023-24 after ending second on the Silver Knights roster with 63 factors a 12 months in the past. In 267 profession AHL contests with Henderson, Abbotsford, Chicago and Ontario, Rempal has totaled 84 targets and 128 assists for 212 factors, and he participated within the AHL All-Star Classic as a rookie in 2019.
A local of Calgary, Alta., Rempal has performed 12 video games within the National Hockey League with Los Angeles, Carolina, Vancouver and Vegas.
