The Dallas Cowboys are in win-now mode this season.

Judging by the moves they’ve made, the way they’ve played, and the things their front office has said, it’s Super Bowl-or-bust time in Arlington.

That’s why Skip Bayless is among those who believe that this might as well be Mike McCarthy’s final opportunity to get the job done with this organization.

The controversial pundit went as far as to predict on “Undisputed” that Jerry Jones could turn to former team legend Deion Sanders to succeed McCarthy if he’s not good enough next season.

Recently, Jones talked about Sanders’ prospects as an NFL coach, stating that he’s a very inspirational man, and that could take a team the long way.

However, he also said he didn’t want to get into more detail because he knew his words could be taken out of context, pretty much leading to this sort of speculation.

No disrespect to Sanders whatsoever, but there’s a big difference between coaching in college and in the actual pros.

Granted that he’s silenced his critics left and right, and that he knows more football than most human beings, but still.

Whatever the case, it has always felt like McCarthy has been on borrowed time as soon as he was hired by the Cowboys.

And the matter of the fact is that there should be no excuses this time around, as they have one of the best defenses in the game and a plethora of playmakers on offense, so it’s time they get over the hump once and for all.
