Kevin Porter Jr. may have played his last game for the Houston Rockets.
In fact, he may have played his last game in the NBA.
Porter is facing some very serious charges after being arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
Many people are talking about what consequences he should face from the league.
Speaking on his show, Stephen A. Smith said the punishment should be very severe.
“He should not only be in jail, it should be announced that he’s no longer a member of the Houston Rockets, effective immediately,” Smith said.

Smith believes that the NBA should adopt the NFL’s policy of prohibiting players from participating in the league at all during an investigation into crimes like this.
If it is proven that Porter committed these crimes, it is very likely he will never play in the league again.
Over the years, the Association has taken crimes such as these much more seriously.
They have suspended and fined players for various legal issues and Adam Silver has publicly spoken out against players who have done wrong.
The alleged crimes in the Porter case are unsettling and the Rockets are moving behind the scenes to address the situation.
It was reported the other day that the team is looking to remove and replace Porter.
Shams Charania wrote that Houston has contacted multiple teams to inquire about moving Porter’s contract.
That could be a tall order: any team discussing a deal with Houston would probably waive Porter immediately, but they could still receive some pushback from fans and the press.
The Rockets have yet to formally announce anything related to Porter and his future.
But as the season approaches, they will need to speak up soon.
