Vincent Kompany is attempting to make his imprint at Bayern Munich and when asked what he wishes to see by the end of the season, the coach had a fascinating reaction.
“I think I’ve mentioned it before, the word ‘team’. It’s not about what I experienced as a player because I’m not a player anymore, but I have lived it as well. If you can be at a big club with top players and somehow you get to put the team first, you can achieve wonderful things. I really believe in that and I’m committed to that. So, if you ask me what I would like to see at the end of the season, it’s that we’re actually talking about a great team. That would be wonderful for me,” stated Kompany in an interview with Bundesliga.com.
With such a huge lineup, Kompany will need to keep cultivating that group culture to get the most out of this season. Surely, this will be a difficulty, however the coach appears approximately fulfilling it head-on. One thing is specific, however, Kompany definitely has an excellent core group to deal with in handling this job.
