This weekend, lots of towns and cities throughout Spain will happen in carnival-style events. That environment spilled into the La Liga action in Vitoria, where Alaves hosted Villarreal at the Mendizorroza.

Samu Omorodion opened the scoring for the hosts, before Jorge Cuenca countered for Marcelino Garcia Toral’s side. Owono played no part on the day, as Antonio Sivera maintained his location in objectives for the Basque attire.
