Endurance Sessions_V2
Group endurance sessions have been actively taking place this winter, contributing to an exhilarating cross country running season. These sessions are designed to foster community engagement and enhance performance through collaboration among athletes. Each gathering serves as a platform for runners to improve their skills, gain insights from peers, and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with training together.
Scottish athletics is committed to supporting these collaborative efforts because they are fundamentally aimed at elevating the overall standards of endurance running across various regions. The synergy created by these sessions not only benefits individual athletes but also strengthens the competitive landscape in Scotland.
This winter, we have been particularly pleased to witness enthusiastic participation from Central Scotland, with sessions taking place in Falkirk/Stirling, along with island clubs convening in the picturesque Western Isles and Orkney. The growth in participation is a testament to the vibrant running community in these areas.
Notably, there are exciting endurance sessions scheduled for Saturday 28 December, allowing participants to maintain their training momentum during the festive holiday break. This is an excellent opportunity for athletes to stay active and engaged while enjoying the holiday spirit.
For more details, please check the document linked above, but we anticipate these sessions will occur at the following locations:
